BAAL BAAL BACH GAYE (Eid Play) by Bushra Ansari for GEO

  1. **Shamim Hilaly is one of those jewels in the crown of pak-showbiz who command not only respect but profess it! I am by no way interested in people's old age but I do for sure know that Shamim Hilaly is still as young as yourself...and may beat you on wit, intelligence and certain geity required from a certain class. She is as beautiful as she was in Javed Jabbar's movie "Beyond The Last Mountain" (or "MUSAFIR") she did in 1972 or as charming and solid in acting as she was in that PTV-Lahore production "RUTT BADAL JAIGI" directed by Agha Nasir in 1973. Incidently and my good luck--that i was with her in both. Married to a Foreign Service CSP Zafar Hilaly the able son of an able father--Pakistan's Foreign Secretary Agha Hilaly, our Shamimo..as we call her...has seen the world when her husband was posted at Pak-Embassies in Washington, Indonesia and finally as Ambassador in Yemen before retirement. My proximity with Shamim is two folded as her late brother---the stock artiste of FIFTY FIFTY and Producer at PTV-Karachi...HASNAT AHMED was my closest buddy not to forget that he signed my nikah naama as a gawah...I chose! Shamimo is doing wonders on private productions with her acting par excellence..Masha'Allah and may she have crossed many rains...she is still as robust and young as one could be. **
  2. **HINA Dilpazeer is the GIFT OF THE DECADE to Pak showbiz TV media and what a wonderful person she is. Abbsolute down to earth and a simple simon yet a pie men---climbing the stardom by the days sheerly by te dint of performance par-excellence! After "MERI ADHOORI MUHABBAT" there was no looking back for her--nd she has become one of the busiest TV artiste of Karachi. I am fortunate to have acted with her in Atif Hussain's PHIR KHO JAIEN NA" for ARY and Yasir Nawaz's "NADANIYAN" and now "BBBG" for GEO and I found her a jewel of a person by many many counts. Wait till you see her in "BBBG" on the famous TV character/person she has so well portrayed--and it would certainly earn her huge laurels. If I were not under oath from Yasir--I could have revealed the character she is portraying...but word is a word hence mum's the word---:) **
  3. **Sumbul is a darling person. Very friendly and a good artiste that I know (I have no word like horrible in my dict..)...Sumbul has also portrayed the role of an America settled person yet complete paindoo...most professionally in "BBBG". Another incidence that I have had the opportunity to work with both; Sumbul and her sis Asma within 48 hours in "TUM JO MILLAY" and "BBBG" and I found both the sisters as chirpy and wonderdful in person as her sister Bushra....whom i have known for long. Its the first time I met these two sisters--who both have good talent which needs to be exploited well..... **

Cheers......
