I don't think its a matter of forgiveness. I don't think, in the first place, that he called you a chick. He called one of his old guppy buddies a chick and they were fine with it. And he doesn't need forgiveness from you I think.
You can solve this matter over PM, there is more to it than just forgiveness. His thinking is different and you are thinking a totally opposite thing. Don't take anything personal. You guys are in opposite directions.
