Yes definitely a great recipe, thanks so much for sharing this valuable recipe Mostar ![]()
I did take the oil out but it was still a bit too much .. perhaps the fat from the meat could have added to the oil content in the korma ![]()
but a brilliant recipe no doubt ..
Re: Authentic Korma recipe needed
Cherry, do you have a small spice mixer in the food processor? or the coffee grinder?
you can easily chuck in the required whole masala’s and then give it a good run in the grinder.. they will turn into fine powder within seconds ..
Regards cardamom, I chuck then in the grinder in whole pieces and then after a first quick run, open the grinder and pick the cardamom skin out , then carry on grinding the mixture until it turns really fine ..
The best results are achieved if you mill bigger quantities , then you can store it and use it for other dishes .. usually lasts me about a month.. though aroma is best when done fresh. but its really hard to do just half tsp for a dish ..

I just ground stuff then and there for the aroma masala. I didn’t have green cardamoms though so had to do without that. But turned out brilliant nonetheless.
Oh I also decreased the amount of oil in it.
P.S. For the thin onion slices .. I tried the way khatti posted from yt.. was really easy and the slices were paper thin.
