Steve Smith nearly muffed a catch that was his. And now he's not got the batting practice he wanted. And he's again perished to the short ball. Late on the pull, pops it up to square leg meekly. A catch for Davison now, this is not as bad way to retire.

The two matches against Kenya and Canada has shown there are chinks in their armoury.
Australia are not invincible but Pakistan or any other side (incl. RSA and India) wishing to dethrone them will have to be at their best on the day. Only a disciplined and thoroughly professional performance can deny Australia. They are a proud cricketing nation and won't give up their World title easily for sure

performance against the minnows is not the best way to judge how good a team is. If that was the case, England should not have beaten RSA or tied with India despite chasing a huge 338. Most teams do not play their best or find it difficult to motivate themselves against weaker teams.

I think...Australia made a bit fool to rest of the world playing longer matches against Kenya and Canada for some better run rate and some real match practice... :D

Not just that - Australia hasn't really looked convincing in any of their games. Unfortunately the SL game got washed out else that would have been their test against a potential title contender. Lets see how they perform against Pakistan.
