Hazlewood to Younis Khan, OUT, Younis bags a golden duck. Thin edge behind to the keeper. Excellent delivery from Hazlewood. Nice and full, angled in, and straightens away late outside off. Younis looks to defend and goes.** His recent Test score: 0 2,11,2,1**
Younis Khan c †Wade b Hazlewood 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

Re: Australia v Pakistan, 1st Test, Brisbane
What a pathetic show.
Re: Australia v Pakistan, 1st Test, Brisbane
Aaand once again total collapse for Pakistani batsmen. All flat pitch master batsmen are a lame duck right now. Azhar Ali, Younus, Misbah, Shafiq. All four can score tons in UAE, but are deer in the headlights here causing shame for the country. Another embarrassing show. But again who cares, it would be just another loss but a great tour for “boyz”.
Re: Australia v Pakistan, 1st Test, Brisbane
Innings defeat coming up.
Re: Australia v Pakistan, 1st Test, Brisbane
Amir given out in a hurry by third umpire
Re: Australia v Pakistan, 1st Test, Brisbane
That was a terrible decision. It was such a slim sound and third umpire (S Ravi-India) took 5 sec to turn around the not out decision. There was clearly no edge. And that hurt Pakistan a lot since it was a good going partnership.
Pak 142 all out now. Kudos to Sarfraz, once again!!
Re: Australia v Pakistan, 1st Test, Brisbane
Smith ne zyada hi easy lia ha itni jaldi declare kr k. Will learn the lesson ![]()
Re: Australia v Pakistan, 1st Test, Brisbane
Rahat ali run out was also very tight. But 3rd umpire deciding it out. That one I think eased by our batters as they them self talked and tell it is out… before umpire decided.
Anyways I never see 3rd umpire deciding so fast for such tight replays.
Re: Australia v Pakistan, 1st Test, Brisbane
So all Pakistan needs is 3 centuries and 2 halves.. Meh, piece of cake! ![]()
Re: Australia v Pakistan, 1st Test, Brisbane
I doubt if they can achieve the target, already 2 down.
Today it will be decided nevertheless, we will know whether or not Pak can make it. Looks tough with Aussie bowlers doing well and tight fielding.
With pathetic fielding of “the boys” I don’t see them progressing much in next world cup…
Re: Australia v Pakistan, 1st Test, Brisbane
Azhar Ali played a very careful 71 runs but got out on a shot that could be avoided.
Same goes for YK. But both played good enough, though i wish they had done this in first inning.
Now the troubling part is Misbah. And this I mentioned in the side-match thread. He didnt do anything in first test against NZ, then in side-match and now in two innings here when the team needed him desperately. Comeon man, be a captain. And we all know he can do it.
So with 5 down, i dont know if they can survive for another day.
Re: Australia v Pakistan, 1st Test, Brisbane
At least it is a face saving innings by azhar and YK. though it wud have been great that atleast one of them reach 100 .
We won only 1 test in australia since 1979.
Re: Australia v Pakistan, 1st Test, Brisbane
Pak 382/8 brought respectability to the batting after the first innings debacle.
Asad 100 not out
Azhar 71 and younis 65
Disappointed in Misbah and more in Sarfraz, he cannot get above his 20’s and 30’s
