Aunty

Re: Aunty

You mean budding newbie aunties? I agree. Those newlyweds are still "aunties" to a younger generation of kids, so technically, we're all aunties after we hit a certain age/generation.

Re: Aunty

So I am aunty then :naraz: But I don’t gossip not even in my blog:snooty: But I am married and have children.

PCG: Those blogs were open to everyone but I still wouldn’t like to name them without the guppans’ permission.

UZ: You’re more like a bari behan and a very nice one

Re: Aunty

I call all my mums friends Aunty....i didnt think it was such an offensive word to say. I use it as a respectful word....i cant exactly call them Khala as they aren't my blood relatives
Or is this negative image of the word aunty limited to Pakistan?
I think i must have only heard someone use aunty in a negative way.....e.g. 'shes such an aunty'
I dont think the people who i call Aunty find it degrading.

I once got mistaken for this baby’s mum at this wedding I went to recently. It’s not my fault I got lumbered with her.
