Nope. The Oediups and Electra complexes get their names from the Greek mythology. Oediups Complex is when a guy falls in love with his mother…wants to attain her…and eliminate the dad. And the Electra Complex is the same situation except the girl falls in love with her father. It’s a fixation on the parents.
