Perhaps ‘take no prisoners’ approach was the right call due to the urgency of the situation requiring complete termination. What I do have a problem with is what you have said as well, that at least present whatever evidence is found after the fact. It’s not a new phenomenon that local people or immersible individuals would be used to carry out acts like this. It happens everywhere in the world. The only thing is other countries present their evidence, make their case, and if they don’t get a fair response then they rely on the backbone that every sovereign government should have to impose sanctions or use all their diplomatic weight to ensure the perpetrators are punished whether they’re groups or countries.
