At least 16 people in Karachi back Musharraf

Is “boycotting” of voting in impeachment resolution in SA there way of “supporting” president? :hehe:

I see, and the lack of popularity of Bush amongst his own people is also victory for the thugs?

lol is that why they didnt show up at the sindh assembly to stand up for their president? lol MQM and integrity? Jo jitta udey naal!

Spock, just imagine had mqm ditched Musharraf, and sided with Zardari. Wouldn't you be saying how selfish, power hungry or 'cherhtey sooraj ke pujari' mqm is? Wouldn't you be saying how unfaithful or untrustworthy they are? Wouldn't you say how opportunist and cold blooded they are? Wouldn't you say that they have no morals? Wouldn't you say they selling them to whoever is buying? Wouldn't you say that they used Musharraf when they needed and dropped when he was of no use? They didn't ditch president and they are standing by him, even when no one is. This shows character. If all that they didnt do wouldn't have been wrong, then the opposite has to be right. which is what they are doing.

Re: At least 16 people in Karachi back Musharraf

err robert, you missed the point YET again. They DID ditch Musharraf lol by NOT showing up. I hope this time you get it. And yes, they used Mushy when he was all powerful and when they needed the bhatta most. Now Musharraf, with his unpopularity is a kiss of death for them, which is why you had 0 members of MQM showing up today to voice support for Mush's tushy.

Not really. If they "really" supported Musharraf they'd have voted against impeachment, simple, abstinence only meant indirect support of party in power.

Re: At least 16 people in Karachi back Musharraf

This is how impeachment process work. If you want president to be impeached, you vote for impeachment. Not voting means voting against impeachment, because you are not getting the number required for successfull impeachment. get it?

MQM and morals. Biggest laugh of the day. Read 'Butta' thread and see how they are morally bank corrupt in additon to terrorising and killing innocent people.

Again wrong. It means you have no character. You can easily move to any direction which you can find material advantage by saying look we did not oppose you by just abstaining from the vote so indirectly we helped you. If Mush continues, they will say, look we helped you by abstaining from vote of impeachement. We are sincere to you as we are sincere to Zardari. How that sounds?

True, but here we are talking about "resolution for impeachment" where they abstained and because of their abstinence resolution was passed :)

Next step, impeachment. What makes you think mqm is in favour of that?

KARACHI, Aug 12: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement has thrown its support behind President Pervez Musharraf and declined Pakistan People’s Party’s request to stay ‘neutral’ during the impeachment process.

Muttahida to support president -DAWN - Top Stories; August 13, 2008

You can not rely or trust on their statment. A morally corrupt, can change at any time. Wait when time for impeachment comes up.

what if at the impeachment time, they stick with president ...

would you change your opinion about them?

hahah that is quite funny. So I wonder why 1-2 Q league members came and opposed the impeachment. Atleast they had some morals left in them, unlike the spineless cowardly MQM.

Still they are hoping that Mush may survive, help comes from Uncle Sam and Military. Once they will see that Mush has no choice but to resign, the moment will prove how much they are faithful to Mush.

Good to know you finally found a party with some morals. so when are you joining them?

seriously, I think mqm will never support impeachment. They will either vote against it, or will not participate in such an event.

However if they do support impeachment, I will add them to my list of hopeless cases.

Damned If They Do, Damned If They Don't

Lets wait for the actual event to happen and see where the camel settles

Not participating will help the PPP/PML[N]. So when is the MQM resigning from this anti-Musharraf democratic Govt Rob?

Re: At least 16 people in Karachi back Musharraf

It would have been 20 supporters but unfortunately the other 4 are members of this site and like to participate in virtual Pro-Musharraf rallies.

:)

NO. NO. NO. what math are you using?
Not Participating = Not Voting for Impeachment = Helping Musharraf

Remember the days when Farooq Laghari helped get Nawaz Shareef into power (by removing BB, and doctoring election). Nawaz got rid of Laghari in 3 months, almost shamelessly.

I hope mqm will not do so.
