Asteen kay sanp are called acquaintances not friends.
A friend will never bite you.
You already know the qualities of friends. I mean
A friend in need is a friend indeed , waghiara waghiara.
In Urdu there is a distinction too , Shanasa and Dost.
Ahmad Faraz says:
Tum takaluf ko bhi akhlas samajhtay ho Faraz
Dost hota nahi her hath milanay wala.
Aya kuch samajh main ?
