Re: Asia Cup: Pakistan VS India...2nd July 2008...
don't expect a miracle from Pakistani team. We can't expect anything from this kind of bowling attack. They can't even defend a score of 350 and our batsmen aren't good enough to put up score of 350.
I expect myself to wake up, look at the score, get depressed and go back to sleep. But hopefully Pakistan will prove me wrong... :)
I think Saqlain is too old to play international cricket. We need to give more chances to Mansoor Amjad. Afridi cannot open any more.
Saqi has his sight set on representing England one day as he has qualified for them. I don't think he wants to represent Pakistan any more. Forget opening Afridi can't bat any more.
PCB needs to lift the ban, not the selectors. I think we need Abdur Razzaq in the ODI team.
I second that! He was a good ODI player and still is, it's just PCB got it wrong when it came to TEST cricket and Razzaq. He cost a genuine TEST all-rounder a place in the side for far too long by constantly being picked in the TEST team when he wasn't performing.

Unfortunately your spot on! I hope we pull it off but it's a tall order. :(]
Re: Asia Cup: Pakistan VS India...2nd July 2008...
Some1's first law of Cricket : Unless one team is HEAD & SHOULDERS above the opposition in terms of strength, the probability of accurately predicting which team will win a specific ODI (or Twenty20) match is almost equal to the probability of accurately predicting which team will win a specific toss of the coin.
Among the TOP 8 teams, only Australia enjoys that kind of superiority over other teams....and even their supremacy seems to be diminishing of late.....
Therefore, all analysis is YOOSELESS for ODIs and Twenty20s.
Test Matches are the real deal.....the format that follows logic and analytical reasoning....the format that separates the MEN from the BOYS.
Re: Asia Cup: Pakistan VS India...2nd July 2008...
It doesn't really matter what the Pakistan team is. This Indian team is the kind that will score 300+ chasing or get out under 100 depending upon luck of the draw. These matches have become totally random devoid of method
India gonna face Pakistan today and srilanka tomorrow…
if Pakistan will win 2day … indians will surely be quite exhausted tomorrow … so srilanka will have a better chance to win tomorrows games …
Pakistan are on the verge of elimination: they're still on 0 points with an abysmal net run-rate of -1.280. To qualify for the finals, Pakistan need to win their remaining games with big margins and hope Sri Lanka beat India on Thursday.
Going by current form, India would be the clear favourites. They chased down 300 in a mere 42 overs against Pakistan in the league stage and their top order looks in ominous form. The same can't be said about the Pakistani batsmen though. Pakistan's situation is desperate and they would want to be firing on all cylinders tomorrow. India, despite being more comfortably placed than Pakistan will also be keen to win tomorrow and seal the final spot so that the key players can be rested ahead of the finals.
Sri Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardene has already made it clear that Sri Lanka will rest their senior players against India. This means even if India lose to Pakistan, they will have an opportunity to field a full-strength side against an under-par Sri Lanka. Pakistan's chances are looking bleak.

Breaking news
Shoaib Malik won't be playing in this big game, he fell ill again in the fitness test today. Only 6 minutes into the test, he exhausted. In his absence, it would be Misbah Ul Haq leading the Pakistan side.
