Excellent batting by Pakistan, they started off on a slow note but they picked up very well in the middle overs. Younis Khan and Shoaib Malik did extremely well to stitch a Pakistani Asia Cup record 2nd wicket partnership and that really set the foundation for Yousuf and Misbah to build on. They end up with 299 and now India will need to bat well to get those 300 runs

Pakistan end up on a strong 299. They started slowly, like they did in the Kitplay final, stepped up the tempo, exploded in the middle and finished off strongly. Malik hit his first ton as a captain, Younis scored an entertaining fifty, Yousuf played a delightful cameo and Misbah provided the final touches.

Guys i thinks pka team is short about 30 runs i remember in 2005 or just couple years back pakistan was chasing somewhere in teh 340's against india @ national stadium Karachi, and pak fell short just by 10 or 15 runs becaue this stadium always had a gr8 batting track and with indian batting so deep only way i se pak winning this if they get early inroads what do u say guys ?

Ishant Sharma is beginning to live up to my initial impression of him (which was not good).....and his fielding sucks too.
The most important thing that has worked for Pakistan in their last 2 matches against India is that they did not lose more than a couple of wickets in the first 25 overs and that is half the job done.
Finally, I am not sure I like Yousuf Pathan in the playing eleven. He seems more like a Twenty20 player where short bursts of performances is all it takes to make you a hero.

From India's standpoint, I still don't know why Ganguly and Dravid weren't picked for this tour... I think the selectors are letting T20 perceptions override their rationality... esp. Dravid is a classy player in the ODI format and you need someone like him in the middle overs to provide stability to the lineup.

From India's standpoint, I still don't know why Ganguly and Dravid weren't picked for this tour... I think the selectors are letting T20 perceptions override their rationality... esp. I totally agree with u i think the 20/20 format is destroying good 50 over cricket.
