there's a difference between pride and arrogance. being proud of your heritage or background, being pakistani, being punjabi is pride, when you start saying how punjabis are better than the zulu tribe of africa and they are insert condescending remark here you don't want to sit next to them that is called arrogance, snootiness which is of course bad, hence pride and arrogance are two majorly different things.
