One of the real roadblocks is that it is very difficult to take a stance opposed to one’s country of birth. So one can get torn between the right thing and the tug from one’s country.

In Islam we have a concept of justice even when it goes against our interest, I would like to believe in that notion.

As for the Kashmir issue, you are absolutely correct, we do end up being biased our background. So we (Indian’s and Pakistanis) should let Kashmir exist as an Independent country.
