Re: Artists are not respected in Pakistan - Mohib Mirza
I don’t know what century your living in dude??? Nobody in the urban population talks like that about tv actors. They get as much respect and attention as one could get. Its not audiences fault that little effort is put into publicizing good content, there is so much clutter on telly, the least channels can do is promote theur own products so people cant miss it. No point getting bitter about it. Back to the main article, what I found disgusting was the way Mohib said it so blatantly that artists are not respected, you are representing your country when you speak to foreign media and it is in your own interest to be gracious about the feedback you’re getting. Rightnow I was watching a telefilm on Hum with Babar Khan (Koi to rok lo) and the pretty girl who’s been in another telefilm, she has so much potential but if the print/electronic media won’t pickup on that who’s to blame? We have such killat of interviews and news items on telly that most of the stuff gets unreported and many brilliant telefilms get un noticed. This doesn’t mean people have no eye for good content/actors but its the responsiblity of channels to promote them enough.
