Re: Arshad5 and Kazi report here..
The latest plan is to go to Karachi for a couple of days and then Baluchistan for a couple of days followed by a couple of days of sight seeing back in karachi before flying out again.
No there is no special event as such, its a working holiday lets say. I have been to Pakistan just once in nearly 30 years so looking forward to going back again. Last time I went to Pakistan everything was pretty much arranged for me when I stayed in the Northern side of Pakistan. So its going to be a bit more of an adventure this time. I hope there aren't too many mosquitos out there!
How are you settling in your new job?
Re: Arshad5 and Kazi report here..
Sounds like fun - and it has been ages since u last been.... mind u my mum went back to her home town Kenya after 45 years so dats like soo long....but she loved it ...
Anyway, i'm quite settled in my new job - only thing is that i'm d early bird and everyone else gets in after 9.30am so its quite boring at the start, but good bit is dat i leave an hour before the rest of them so thats cool wid me. Job itself is quite intense - lots to take in, lyk being back at college - notes to make, revision of policies, tests, etc - but its going great... good thing is that i have an xcellent training programme... so hows things wid u otherwise?
Re: Arshad5 and Kazi report here..
45 years is long! I am sure it would be fun....I am looking forward to it. If I like it there then I may go away again in Dec, rent an apartment and stay for a month. Don't know if they do short lets in Pakistan...need to look into it. Its funny how I didn't have the time to confirm my dates for the Austria and Switzerland holiday and yet I am going to Pakistan.
I am a late starter. Staying behind in the office after work is good sometimes as you get so much done without distractions and interruptions. It's good that the job is keeping you busy. You must be good as well to have been promoted twice so quickly.
Otherwise everything is good. Recently have been preoccupied by other matters so as a result I think my sport has suffered. So I need to focus a bit more on that in the next few weeks. If only there were enough hours in the day for me to do everything that I want to do!
Re: Arshad5 and Kazi report here..
Tru say - theres soo much to do and so less time in a day to cram it all - and lyk they say it all comes to keepin yourself well-organised...i've even started keeping a diary and put reminders on my phone for every little 'task to do' and all 'events' - dat way i don't forget....
Bet your looking forward to your hol....so where u flying from? and wat day do u fly out? must be exciting to go somewhere after such a long tym.....theres all dat culture, and yummy food to look forward to - ur guaranteed to put on a couple of pounds....
Re: Arshad5 and Kazi report here..
I tried keeping diary, list of things to do, dictaphone, notebook but after a while I get bored with these things and I stop using them. I like being impulsive and work well on chaos. I think I should I should have been an artist of some sort or should be working in a creative environment. I think your better than me at admin. Admin. is my weak point mainly because I get bored fairly easily with the mundane things. I need variety and change.
Yep looking forward to the holiday. Flying out of Heathrow....not quite sure on the day yet but probably around the middle of June. I doubt I will put on much weight in a week lol. Besides all the walking I am planning on doing will ensure that I burn off all the calories.
Maybe you can give me some tips on being a better administrator.
