well forget Arshad Khan ... i think M. Hafeez is also knoocking on the doors :) he has scored five 50s in last 7 matches(domestic) with an avg. of 59. :)

An intelligent cricket is one who learns from his mistakes...while i am pretty sure Hafeez might not be one of them ... but he is till young, so lets see :)

Just read report that Arshad Khan will be joining the team in Sri Lanka for the test series.

What was the point in taking the other spiners? Lying on the beach? I thought they are building for the world cup and wanted to give new players some experience.

Hafeez is the cheetah of 20/20 ... take him anywhere around the world and he'll win the games for you, provided there aren't too many cameras pointed at him :D

Well what do you know, these Khan and Rehman were the same players who all of a sudden were hailed by the PCB as THE World Cup winning talents for the future. Mind you they were rotting in the domestic circuit for past 7-8 years.

I bet what the real situation was that his Majesty Arshad was too busy to make it for the ODI's so in order to make up for the absence of such a genius we needed TWO spinners in his place. Now that Arshad is available, we don't need such world cup winning potentials.

What I would like to do is give the national selectors a royal hiding. Why the **** aren't they doing their job? We need MORE OPENERS. If Farhat and Butt are the only ones available in Pakistan with Akmal and Malik the next in line, then we have serious problems. And by fresh faces I don't mean domestic bullies like Taufeeq, Nazir, Hafeez, etc.

i wonder why they choose Arshad khan ... he just got 3 wickets at the avg. of 62 in 6 matches in the domestic competition:(

Arshad Khan is a proven and tested match-winning formula for Pakistan which has been working wonders for many years now. A heap of domestic matches plus the international matches have been won because Arshad maintained a very very tight line and length and didn't allow the ball to be hit anywhere inside the boundaries of the ground. The camera crew was put on high alert at all times during his bowling stunts. The word "ariel" comes to mind right about now.
