Absolutely right about letting the elected government serve its term out.
It also means elected leaders ......which does NOT include Zardari wielding the power of a super president. That may work in India with Sonya but Zardari is not Sonya and Pakistan is not India.
.....
You have rightfully pointed to a serious flaw in civilian party structure so prevalent in the Indian subcontinent.
Yes and unfortunately we do have "God Father I, II, III" in the form of unelected leaders who wield enormous power on Pak politics. There are Altafs, Sharifs, Zardaris, and Imrans to name a few.
However this is what we get. No better no worse. Indians practiced this gad-awful party system and they still can't cleanse themselves from party idols like Sonya or Lallu.
BDeshis cried democracy in 1971, and forty odd years later they are stuck with same old party idols like Sh. Mujib's daughter, and a dead general's wife.
And supposedly both BDesh and India were much more democratic than Pakistan. Reality however is different. Pakistan has the same old party structure that has so blessed both India and BDesh.
At some point, we all should realize that party structure is not going to change for another 100 years. So what can someone do who is stuck with a fat, uncouth spouse who can't cook, clean, or hold a decent job? The simple answer is "Be Happy". Love your spouse the way he/she is. Because y'all said "till death do us part".
Given this fact, may be we ought to let politicians do what they want to do. We as people should not look towards them for guidance. Rather guide the politicians to implement economic policies that we want. And let the economic engine run the country and not politicians (be they are elected or otherwise).
