Re: Are'nt the movies boring? Either English or Indian? :(
I think it depends on move era and age. I find recent Bollywood/Hollywood movies have been crap compared to response from critics.
I reackon, go the good old chinese movies with english dubding, you get a combination on Chinese, Indian (Guy rescues the girl) and a Western touch :)
Re: Are’nt the movies boring? Either English or Indian? ![]()
^ The older shaw brothers chinese films were ace, they had very basic plots but bombarded the audience with dramatic set piece scenes, thrilling fight sequences, and amazingly bloody end fights, splashed with loads of colour and even a bit of comedy and romance… That sort of film has a massive appeal!
I hate dubbing though! Unless its done well, it ruins the flavour of the film, subtitles work much better and retain the original scope, those that struggle with reading might find it harder but it’s way better than commonly dubbed films with some idiot yankee vioceover. ![]()
