when i am in pakistan, i must stay at home all the time, if i want go out, i must go with my dad or brother, in UK i can go out alone!

had to quit my job in Canadian Air Force when i was done with all my paper work/ medical test / interviews and was on 2nd Lt. rank....
all of the sudden my parents decided to marry me off to some guy in pakistan.....and i had no option but to quit my job cuz it required me to go out of my city which was never allowed not even for studies or job :|
huh so much for equality
i am still officially part of Canadian Air Force cuz i havent signed off ALL of the papers and my CO is sending me emails to make me come back but i know there is no going back :(

Im not a victim...Ive worked, gone to school, etc. Done everything I wanted as I wanted.

annymou5, you're sooo lucky to be in the Canadian Air Force!! please don't quit it!!! anyway you can only be married with your permission....sure your parents will freak out if you say no...but who cares....in the end they WILL turn around and agree...I have seen this happen in my own family!! in fact the dad is always bragging about her new position and she found herself a guy who is way better for her!! it makes me so sad when ppl quit things that make them happy :(

NO i'm a female and my parents gave me full authority and liberty over my decisions nd life . but sometimes i feel myself that i'm conservative and not much outgoing .. i do not mix with people easily

you are are a female and you family ashamed of you to go to work
you are a female and your family wouldnt let you have education or go to other town city for higher educationm or for a job
you are a female and is not safe to go out like male

You have made prejudice that only FEMALES are bound for gender discrimination. Let me tell you "You go get the chips and drink (coz you are guy)" or “You go wash the car how can you sister do that” or THIS POSTS LIKE THIS ONE are most general and most ignored gender discrimination
