The fact of the matter is that I don't think any spouse likes their spouse to be called that by someone else. Like UZ said, it gives a wrong message.
However, we use that term loosely for filmstars and celebrities without crazy intentions, sometimes for lack of a better term.
It should definitely be avoided.

Guys can be called that too, you know ..
i personally think its sick,i remember when i was in school some of my female friends use to really get excited about such useless attention,n i on the other hand if someone approach me in that manner i use to blame myself that he actually thought im that low

I am a guy. To me sexy is a girl/woman who when I see makes my mind go numb and my heart starts pumping Edit. She has a curvey body, nice tanned complexion, a nice chest and a witty face. Edit. She can be shy but not nervous. She must exude confidence. She must be aware of her power - the power of being sexy!
But Zobia this is a vulgar word.
ume api the way we are brought up yes it is considered a vulgar word, but it is when you are looking at one aspect of the spectrum.
usually sexiness (in designer-entertainment fraternity) is attributed with sick (new cool), sophistication, sleekness, etc, where there you can see the difference between vulgarity.
so se*y is not same as vulgarity,
ps. but i agree with you, cuz the ideology we hold, cant let us really tolerate existence of such words.....and that is why i dont use this word.
i use it 4 movie stars sometimes but not regular ppl..so i think its about the confidence and power they exude also..not just htat they are physically attractive..u guyz r takin this 'haaai..its haram 2 use this word..blaaahbllahah blahah' way too seriously n far...
