There are a large number of people who live in Pakistan but who were born in India or their ancestors migrated to Pakistan around 1947. What would you like to do with them?
Well, might as well start from our very President of Pakistan. Masha Allah, he is from Dehli. Whats he doing sitting in the Presidency?
And as long as we are spewing the racism card and conspiracy theories, lets go back to figure out who else is not a "pure" Pakistani... lets start from ..... Liaqat Ali Khan, the first Prime Minister of Pakistan. Shall we? Where do you think he was born?

Bhaijaan,
I understand what you are saying - although migrations of Punjabis is "technically" not considered a migration in our Pakistani society, our family also came from the Indian Punjab in 1947 although I was born in Lahore. What I am saying is that then there was no other option as Pakistan was a brand new nation like what Australia was in 1900. But to have somebody who had Indian education and values holding such an important position as chief nuclear scientist (Khan left India when he was going to school there) - they teach hatred for Pakistan and Islam there. I never liked Musharraf too because of his anti-Afghan and anti-Islam policies. Sometimes I wonder he is not a muslim. Since he was born in India he is Hindu or Indian cultured. Liaqat was a shrewd downtrodden kameena politcian. I guess right now Qazi Saheb (Qazi Hussien Ahmed) - everyone's favorite, is the most suitable for post of the president. I hope I have cleared my point, my muslim brother.

After the choice words you have expressed for one of the founding fathers of the Pakistani nation, I guess there is not much left to discuss here.

I don't wanna mention it here but you are also aware of the dirty politics he played before he was shot in Pindi. I have regards for his freedom struggle and his cause of separate homeland for all of us, but his role post-partition wasn't great at all. Every Punjabi knows in Pakistan that he continued politics of divide and rule after the Britishers left. Anyway, forget it.
Before we forget it... I am just curious where did you learn so much hate about Pakistan's leaders? Is it something they taught at your schools or friends or family or did you figure it all out by yourself?

Faisal bhai, everyone is entitled to have opinion so I have mine. Before coming to the US, I spent 19 years of my life in Lahore, Pak and whatever I gathered from my friends, schools or even elementary madarsa I have concluded it is high time for us - the younger generation to stop worshipping false gods like Qadir Khans or Liaqat Khans. People are elevated to such statuses particulary in our society that is not even funny. Once you come to terms with the facts and turn pages of the hisory, you realize how wrong as a society are we. To answer your questions - I have based them largely on my experience, my teachers, my friends and day-to-day events in Pakistan that I was audience to. Me and my friend were stuck in Karachi riots in '89 and no1 knows better than me what have so called founding fathers have brought Pakistan to.

Are you blaming Liaqat Ali Khan for the situation in Karachi during the 80's and the 90's? Do you also blame Muhammad Ali Jinnah for creating Pakistan, then? Or is he spared the wrath bcz he was born in Karachi, which ultimately became part of Pakistan?

I never said that. But wasn't he party to create one of the many secretarian policies in Pakistan? Forget about Quaid. He had almost no impact post-partition. I have always maintained while ppl should be praised for their efforts like Liaqat for freedom struggle but they should equally be punished as Dr. Khan for leaking nuclear secrets recently.

I agree. Those Muhajir's shouldnot be trusted. ;) They should be sent back to where they belong..UP or BIHAR or whatever. :p
Lets recommend MULZ for Nishan-e-Pakistan for giving such an origional Idea.
without the so called mohajirs, the industrial base would not have developed, the educated working class would be much smaller, and Pakistan would resemble afghanistan. maybe thats what mulz wants :)
There was virtually no animosity between muslim and non-muslims in Sindh. It was L.A.Khan who threw the Hindus systematically out of Sindh to create room for Mohajir, and brought Hundreds of thousand of refugees from India and settled them in Karach. The then chief minister of Sindh Ayub Khuhro did his best to control the riots but the rioters had full support of L.A.Khan. Later on Ayub Khuhro, who had refused to instigate riots, was dismissed and jailed.
Mr Khan was born in Bhopal, India, 11 years before the creation of Pakistan. He stayed in Bhopal throughout the communal massacres that accompanied Partition of India and, witnessed Hindu-Muslim riots.
When he emigrated to Pakistan in 1952, he brought a deep hatred of India. “Hindus are crooks,” Mr Khan told his biographer. “They are dreaming of destroying Pakistan.”
He might have been an ardent Pakistani nationalist but Mr Khan did not stay long in his new homeland.

Damn. Now Pakistanis will blame India for the mess Pakistan is in :)

Being from Pakistan, you should analyze and ascertain the facts before making such a statement. I never said I hate Mohajirs nor it is implied in any fashion anywhere... but I hate the politics of divide. Hindus in India are asking Indian Muslims to go to Pakistan and non-Mohajir Muslims in Pak are doing the same thing to Mohajirs.. both ways guess who fought and ironically suffered most from partition - Indian Muslims!

Oh yes, Punjabis were busy doing Bhangra and Giddha while Mohajirs were "building" Pakistan - making Pakistan nowhere less modern than Singapore, rt? Whenever you migrate to a new country, try to adapt to that country's culture, language and to people's way (in this case Punjabized largely) - you don't make your eik eint ki masjid - it never works that way, unfortunately. Take Indians in Fiji for example - they never could become Fijians despite being close to 50% and living for almost 100 years. I never have been to UP Bihar but expect all my countrymen to be Pakistani and not Lucknowi or Hyderabadi - they are as foriegn to me as Greenland is.
Was he born as a mentally-challenged child? Does any1 leave his country just because of riots? What about Mohajir-riots of Orangi etc. in Karachi - which were pretty regular and intense in the 80s and even in the 90s? Why didn’t he leave Pakistan then? I guess then he woulc have gone to Afghanistan then… moving “west” always I guess.. As far as his “massive” contribution, Pak has paid it back by pardoning him already..

Good.. try explaining it to these folks in the forum.. one who plays with fire gets it in return one day.. as I said before.. STOP worshipping false gods.. it is high time we STOP taking sides and speak FOR Pakistan..
This matter could had been settled much better and secretly than humiliating AQ Khan publicly - and to much disgust by asking fogiveness from federal ministers - most of them are themselves involved and have cases registered for corruption under NAB.
The famous bomb is called Islamic Bomb' and not Pakistani Bomb! If west could transfer nuclear tech to select puppies why not Paksitan to few muslim countries. It was a combined effrort of Bhutto, Faisal and Qaddafi..
The two main protagonists of this theatre are Musharraf and Khan. Musharraf, being a stronger man, managed to use Khan to save his and his cohort's skin, in reality the both are perpetrators and should be punished. The short sighted generals of the army often misused their own allies, as Musharraf is now waging a Jihad against hiw own former allies. Yankees know that the generals of pakistan army played a vital role and without their assistance it could be not possible for Khan to evade controls designed to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons. At present Musharraf is too pivotal for Yankees hence cannot be punished. The way Musharraf has handled this issue is a short-term gain but long-term pain, especially for Pakistan. The stupid people of Pakistan are cheering and patting on his back for the way he's coping with the blunders done by himself. We lack candour.

if you say so.

Nope but had it not been for them we would be about as developed as bhutan.

I really dont see many americans going to pow wows and living in tepees.
does it apply only to countries or cities too? because then pathans in karachi would have to melt right in.
*I never have been to UP Bihar but expect all my countrymen to be Pakistani and not Lucknowi or Hyderabadi - they are as foriegn to me as Greenland is. *
agreed, they should not be lukhnawi, behari, hyderabadi, punjabi, balochi, pathan, kashmiri..whatever. two thumbs up icon
the posts above by fair_&_balance (note the irony here; 'fair and balance') and mulz are so outrageous that i think as long as we have people like them belonging to pakistan we will only remain backward and crazy till the end of the world. lets' abandon all hopes for a better prosperous pakistan; we'll never have it! why!? because we dont deserve it! after about 60 years we still havent learned to live together in peace and stay away from prejudice, racism, nepotism and so on...we dont know crap about what the stuff was like in the past and people blame leaders like Liaquat ali for being evil and so on. he was evil right? does anyoneknoe he had a irupee coin in his pocket when he died! he was the PM of pakistan! not even a bhikari dies with 1 rupee today! where is hios wealth if he was evil? what was he evil for...?
and dr khan is indian...? and Musharraf was born in india...! God the pakistani mentality surprises me everyday and one cant but feel ashamed! werent the moghuls Indians!? but had they been alive today wouldnt they have favoured the Muslims and thus Pakistan!? wasnt Tipu Sultan whom we hold in such high regard an Insian too!? what if he comes to life again!? He will be an indiuan and thus a traitor! right!? only we are patriots who run away from the mess our country is made into by stupid people with corrupt schemes and manage to earn millions of dollars and pounds while the motherland burns. nero played the fiddle while his scity burned, we count the cheque books and monmey while pakistan burns! what have we done to be calld patriots or to call anyone else traitor!?
if we have a brain strong enogh to understand we will realize that every pakistani today has been a mohajor of some sort! lets' kill them all with racism and send them in exile and call them traitors! some are descendants of afghans or turks or persians lets have issues against them for having links with alqaeda or being shia or too seculr. some are descendants of the hindus! lets have prejudice against them for being converts!
for crying out loud love pakistan and pakistanis!
(sorry for the typos am very angry right now)
