If Allah wants me to live to my 100th and as long as I stay relatively healthy and independent, I’d be ok with that. What I absolutely dread is a medical condition where I’d be dependant on someone else. May Allah protect me from that.

My grandfather who used to be a very active person in his liftime suffered a stroke and was then bedridden for several years until he passed away. Seeing him suffer like that was agonizing.

I feel the very same way…
I would like to live for as long as I am able to take care of myself. Of course the ultimate decision rests with the Almighty…
