aren't extremely emotional people those who can't control their emotions...and just keep overflowing?

Well the difference is I can control them. Even if their is a storm inside me, I can manage to keep a straight face. I won't go cry to a friend about it or go to my mom, I've just learned to deal it on my own. It's just the effects of the stereotypes I think, I just can't stand someone thinking that I am weak because I am a female.

Great now i’m confused… but I do* feel *the emotions, my heart takes over my brain when making decisions and stuff… don’t these kind of things make you emotional. I am looking at it from one’s tendency to be inclined more towards the emotional side or the logical side… not in the manner of how one shows emotions…

…you are a woman..obviously you will be driven by emotions more than rationale…but the question being asked was about ‘expressing’ them…not the amount/quantity/strength of emotions inside (thats what i understood anyways) …here was the question..

Emotions are of various kinds. When I'm angry, depending on who I'm with, I either swear, rant, kick or break stuff (the latter two during football matches only). My anger is very momentary and evaporates some ten minutes later. When I'm hurt, I say nothing, I find it hard to keep my voice from breaking and I have to fight hard to keep tears from my eyes. When I'm happy, I laugh at the stupidest jokes.

I think it’s more about personality than gender… some women are very logical… more like ice cold when it comes to emotions… and some men are so so emotional.
Yes I understood the question, my answer was no - regarding how people see me. But then I am aware that I just don’t express it in front of others, but myself. Argggggh why is all this so complicated now

PS: anger is one exception for me when it comes to expressing - not short tempered but i get annoyed easily

I agree, I am proud of such women too... i just never grew up to be like them. shrug

I never show my emotions. I don’t even remember the last time I cried in front of someone. I never never let it show… ever. In front of my siblings I may start crying silently while watching a movie but I’ll make sure they don’t see.
When alone, I cry a lot. This may sound weird but I like to cry when I am alone… and that too without a reason sometimes.
I am extremely emotional. But never let anyone know that.

I am usually aware of my emotions, I observe them closely, but I never let them drive my decision making.

I do get emotional often. When i'm sad I cry, when i'm angry I go quiet.. I was never a very emotional person before though it would take a lot to make me cry.
