Re: Are you different off GS?

Re: Are you different off GS?
yeah, depends... naturally yes, if you think about it, you act differently in front of different people so would apply for online, right??
Re: Are you different off GS?
if only there was an edit button in real life :-( no luck
Re: Are you different off GS?
I'm pretty much the same on GS and off. Just as quiet and shy with those I don't know, and free with those who I feel comfortable.
Same here mate, Im relaxed and free with people Im comfortable with. I think im dirtier in real life. Also I've been told I'm a tiny bit weirder online than off :/
Re: Are you different off GS?
Yes i am different in a sense that i am very outgoing and social person. So in a true sense, being online doesn't depict me as kind of person i am or might be.
Re: Are you different off GS?
In your behavior, language, or attitude towards others beliefs.
Is your nick something you hide behind, while interacting on GS or do you still want to keep a good reputation?
quite different.

yes, off gupshup I am a reclusive multibillionaire who lives on a private island and does not interact with riffraff like I do here.
Re: Are you different off GS?
I watch my language a lot on GS..coz I don't want to get infractions :@:
otherwise I think I am the same in real life and on GS...
Re: Are you different off GS?
One sentence says it all "I am not a *Cafeiite *in my real life"
Re: Are you different off GS?
I think I am a bit shy in person...takes me a bit to warm up.
Re: Are you different off GS?
takes me a bit to warm up.
wow that sounds like the 1969 camaro - I once had !
Re: Are you different off GS?
In different settings one does act differently - be professional at work, be yourself at home, be warm with friends, be courteous with acquaintances.
Those who spend enough time at GS - it is too much of an effort to put on a front and pretend to be who you are not. We all have our views - I believe in forums such as these, we can express exactly what we feel abt each issue.
Those who pretend to be someone else miss out on a chance to express their real selves.
Re: Are you different off GS?
^may be they really don't want to express their real selves?? and look for validation and appreciation being all extra nice and proper?? or some...pretending to be extra badass etc??
Re: Are you different off GS?
I think I am pretty much the same both online and offline ![]()
Re: Are you different off GS?
Well Online my persona seems a lot older. In real life I am often reffered to as the "Youth" or "Jawaan". Strangely enough online I'm very polite or at least try to be. In real life I see people in the same way but sometimes I will come across as curt or perhaps even rude.
Its true I have seen a lot of this world and when people get to know me I sometimes feel thier empathy, but to most people who see me day to day I'm just another typical guy nothing special.
Unless you have seen me training... if your lucky/unlucky enough to see that side of me, most people become very affraid.

your 1st sentence contradicts your second -
How is being your real selves same as bein "extra nice and proper" or be extra badass?
We all look for validation - nothin wrong in looking for it being yourself.
