MarriumH..i indeed agree with u...but yaar woi baat hai fashion mai jo chulra hai..dil to krta hai k wo krayen...
i dont like culottes...hur ek ko hur cheez suit nai krti...and i think broad body structure like me wud look more bulky and broad with these culottes...

zayma..u r absolutely right..meri mama to yehi kehti hain k shalwar to hamaisha he fashion mai rehti hai...dats why i was thinking k gul ahmed k itnay expensive suits ki mostly shalwar bunwaaun (yeah bunwaaun..i am still on weight loss...) aur kuch ki trousers...but plz can someone tell me would it look nice to wear front open or long shirts with shalwars or r they supposed to be worn with capris or straight cut pants only..?

uetian, i think long kameez would look nice with only trousers or capris . shalwar with standard size kameez.

good fitted (not skin tight) Lambi kameez looks good with a not so broad paincha culottes of 9 inches , looks good.
Loose Aline type shirt with broad bottom culottes look weird and unsmart, gives mota/stout look.

I wear culottes with

shirt length :46 inches
Daman : 20 inches
Chalk : 22 inches long

Culottes : 9 or 9 1/2 or max. 10 inches wide (bottom/paincha)

and I think it looks cool ...

culottes doesnot look good with Aline panel shirt:with them straight pants or churidar look good.

well i am not wearing trousers etc yet.,..duno y i hate them and feel really uncomfortable in them...am still wearing kinda baggy salwar with short shirt...i'll luv them for ever :)

I havent started wearing Qlots or straight pants.. im just so out of fashion these days, will be going to pakistan inshllah in oct, will definitely catch up with the latest fashion :)

Bonga is the perfect word. That looks bonga to me too.
I remember these culottes being in fashion with long shirts when I was a teenager, I got one made and I looked BLAH. Will NEVER wear them again, even if they’re in fashion. We should wear what looks good on us, not some onga bonga fashion.

i recently made 47" length shirt with straight pants..i also dont like this Qlot thingy:-/ but i wud make it with some lawn suit..lets c which one:S but to me they r not that much appealing ...my mom says shalwars r always in fashion but woi baat hai fashion to ub krna haina...itni wide to nai but thori wide he stitch krwaungi yani 10-10.5" painchay k sath!

I hate those capris, can’t stand them.

I wear trousers sometimes, but now I’ve started to wear a lot more of salwars (they are soo comfyyy).

Never wore a churidar :frowning: but I’d LOVE to! :hmmm:

Well, not capris but trousers and ajar/culottes are totally IN.

People who are not affected by fashion are still wearing whatever they like. ;)

Pants are in and come in 3 styles:

  • bell shaped
  • straight pants
  • alil loose straight pants yet quite far from being culottes

Culottes look horrible on short people..only if u r tall and slim go for it otherwise ull end up looking like wearing a dhoti...i'm not tall so definitely a no no for me;)plus, plz. never wear it with knee high shirts:)

since long shirts with higher side slits r veryyy in, capris tend to look veryy stylish with them.
