Re: Are most people on this forum, quiet geeks and looners in real life ?

Hmmmm

You are very intelligent .

Re: Are most people on this forum, quiet geeks and looners in real life ?

does it matter if anyone is a loner or a geek? thats the thing about internet, interact without your usual prejudices lurking.

Re: Are most people on this forum, quiet geeks and looners in real life ?

Am I a loner? No. A geek? ABSOLUTELY. I'm an outgoing, loud mouthed, opinionated SOB in real life. Believe it or not, I tone it down here on GS. GS is one of very few forums I frequent that aren't work/technology related. I come to GS to try to maintain some of my roots and identity. I work in a very white environment, my wife is a white American, so it's nice to come out here and talk to and read about other desis.

You caught me!

The Pakistani kaam chor mentality runs in our Pakistani blood!:D

Re: Are most people on this forum, quiet geeks and looners in real life ?

About three years ago (thank you mister website) I decided to refuse the truth that is the universal desi condition. I like to believe that I come from both nobler and more intelligent stock.

i mostly use it when im like, stuck at home and have exams and am procrastinating and doing everything other than studying. and also when i feel someone is talking some stoopid **** and needs to be corrected

Re: Are most people on this forum, quiet geeks and looners in real life ?

i understand what you're saying, but i really do think its sort of a one-sided view point... there are lots of places out there and lots of things to do that don't include alcohol and dancing if thats not your thing, and lots of ways of meeting people offline. i just feel like meeting someone online isn't a substitute for having a life in the real world, and if thats what the thinking is, then its not a good thing. and i'm not saying thats what you're thinking either - its just an observation.

and like others on here have said, there are loners and weirdos everywhere! haha i don't think the internet is exclusive to them.
