Yasser Arafat has suffered a mild heart attack, but the Palestinian leadership has sought to keep his health problems secret for fear it would “create panic”.
The 74-year-old Palestinian President, who is suffering from Parkinson’s disease, disappeared from public view last week and re-emerged at the weekend looking extremely ill. His face was pale and pinched, he had lost weight and he was almost inaudible. He had trouble standing for more than a few minutes at a time.
The Palestinian press said he had the flu. But Palestinian officials told The Guardian Mr Arafat had a heart attack last week. “Although he has had a slight heart attack, the doctors say he will make a full recovery. He is in full control. There is nothing to worry about,” said an aide.
Asked why it had not been made public at the time, the official said it would “have created panic at a critical time when the Israelis are threatening Arafat’s life”.
Malik this is the internet, I don't get to excited here as I have enough in real life to do that for me. I'm just calling it as it is, you said I posted Arafat’s health condition to make light of it, which is a lie so yes I said you were full of ****.
It’s pretty blatant even to an impeccably unbiased observer such as me that this thread was started with more than a little glee and wishful thinking.
It didn’t take long to get the required response from the anti-Palestinian hate-mongers.
A job well done UTD. However this does contrast and highlight your hypocrisy in condemning a similar sentiment expressed by a polar equivalent of the membership.
There’s a lesson to be learned here, you are adding to the greater good in this respect. Kudos.
And kindly stop posting stars (**'s), without the stripes it's really not becoming of you.

Exactly. It's one thing making light of Arafat's health condition (considering his long-held bias against the Palestinian people), but it's another encouraging this sort of behaviour. Now with his blatant hypocrisy exposed for all to see, he is using insults - not that I mind, becuase it shows the real him.
Ooooooh Seminole put a hex on him and stick another pin in the rag doll, this time you’ll have him, this time. Then a blanket of peace will settle on the middle east, suffocating the likud and the war machine.
Ah what innocense. What a little death wishing cutie you are
I don't wish death on Arafat, only his retirement and election of a Palestinian government that will discourage terrorism and encourage peace. The death-wishing contingency is busy in other threads.
I edited my post because my main points were edited by the mods and what was left was taken out of context. Feel lucky you don't have to deal with that handicap.
