Majority of Muslims in Spain migrated to Morocco after it came under rules of Ferdinend in 1492.

I don't like the word secular. Although, I do agree with its intent.

Well thanks. I see he wrote a novel on the independence of Pakistan. He seems highly regarded.

yes he wrote a novel ‘khak o khoon’ on independence of Pakistan. many of his novels were dramatised including Shaheen on which PTV made a serial Shaheen and a movie with the name ‘Gharnata’ was also based on this novel. Aakhri Chattan revolving around fall of Baghdad during Abbasid period was also dramatised. These all works are available on youtube / google videos.

Khak o Khoon was also adapted as a Pakistani movie

North Africa and Southern Europe has had a lot of influence on each other, like Spain and morocco and Algeria and France. The distance between Spain and morocco is 14 Kms.

In case of Spain, Morroco was on border and many Muslim tribes living in Spain in 1492 were originated from Morroco. Yousuf Bin Tashfen who a Berber from Morroco, who helped Muslims in Andlus (Spain) at the end of 11th Century, which supported them to continue their rule till end of 15th Century

How are arabs mixed race do you mean north africans? Arabs are of the semetic race.

There is a specific reason for that. There is a village in Portugal called Fatima, named after a Muslim Princess who was given in marriage by her father to a Christian King (she converted, obviously).

In the early 1900s, 3 Portugese children claimed to have seen a vision of Bibi Mariam (ra) just outside the village.

Ever since, some Catholics have named their daughters after the village.
