Arabs condemns Pakistan's vote on Yemen

Re: Arabs condemns Pakistan’s vote on Yemen

We can gauge the people who will be hurt badly if the Middle Eastern countries stop sending money to Pakistan.

Re: Arabs condemns Pakistan’s vote on Yemen

Well, Mushrraf did not call me back then before joining hands with US nor was I old enough to understand what was going on in Pakistan. But Im sure if that had happened now, all the people like me would have disapproved of what he did. I do now.

And I was/am never in favor of NATO using our routes because some very sane Pakistanis were against that. And there are so many more blunders which Pakistani leadership made in the past and that continues. And along with wrong decisions, there is also corruption, greed, dishonesty, lack of imaan, selfishness (no will or concern to provide decent life to the local pakistanis). And with these new efforts of Pakistan’s enemies to drag Pakistan into useless wars which is quite draining at all levels… so the process to any better change locally is nonexistent.

Re: Arabs condemns Pakistan’s vote on Yemen

That’s what Im feeling now. I feel through this new Saudi/Yemen tension, the ‘Qarbala’ war is being re-invoked in the present times.

Re: Arabs condemns Pakistan’s vote on Yemen

Welcome to the real world. Looks like you spent all your time in UAE sleeping under the rug.

That is what the Pakistani leadership has made of the common Pakistanis. Nothing more than SLAVES to other countries. So how can UAE or other treat you any differently? And tell me why should they treat you any differently than how the Pakistanis are treated in Pakistan?

Re: Arabs condemns Pakistan’s vote on Yemen

What I dont understand is that… US army always was on Saudi side in all the wars they initiated with other ‘muslim brothers’. Why are they dragging Pakistani army now? Has US refused to help Saudi in this war or is it a mutual agreement to purposely drag Pakistan into this to drain whatever is left with us now?

Re: Arabs condemns Pakistan’s vote on Yemen

^^^ It could be win win if Pakistan airdrops these fat mullahs in Yemen & banned them from coming back.

Re: Arabs condemns Pakistan’s vote on Yemen

Re: Arabs condemns Pakistan’s vote on Yemen

I dont think the Houthis will let them come back…:snooty:

Re: Arabs condemns Pakistan’s vote on Yemen

NS is stuck & if he over rides the Parliament he might as well say good bye to his kursi. There will be protests and lots of them (and I’m not sure how army feels about fighting proxy war for Saudis).

Re: Arabs condemns Pakistan’s vote on Yemen

Army I dont think want another front, best send all our jehadis there in saudia’s backyard…NS is in a tight spot.

Re: Arabs condemns Pakistan’s vote on Yemen

Either way it could be win win…

Re: Arabs condemns Pakistan’s vote on Yemen

When one dictator took u-turn without taking into confidence of his own people, why do you think this general will act under civilian government? To me it appears that he is already involved in proxy war supporting KSA.

I have already said N$ is in mess by getting NA’s consent which he can not uphold if other Sharif does not agree to it.

Re: Arabs condemns Pakistan’s vote on Yemen

there have been six wars against them in the past decade. today the war is against bashar and houthis, tomorrow it would be against isis and aqap…either way saudia is doomed.

Pakistan’s vote on Yemen is ‘contradictory’ | The National

Given the strong ties between Pakistan and the Gulf countries, particularly the UAE and Saudi Arabia, the Pakistani parliament’s unanimous decision to be neutral in the Yemen conflict is disappointing and throws up several important questions. As the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr Anwar Gargash, said, the parliament’s rejection of the opportunity to join the coalition that is restoring order in Yemen was an “unexpected” response.
The Saudi-led coalition is engaged in a battle to restore regional security and stability. It is at times like these that one appreciates the support of friends. The Pakistani parliament’s decision stipulating “neutrality” while expressing “genuine support” for Saudi Arabia is, as Dr Gargash said, “contradictory”.
It requires explanation. Surely there must be more to this decision than the Pakistani army’s case that it is overstretched because of a counterterrorism campaign against the Pakistani Taliban and tensions with India.
So the question must be why did the Pakistani parliament unanimously pass such a resolution? It came the day after Iran’s foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, visited Islamabad for talks on Yemen.
He met both prime minister Nawaz Sharif and chief of army staff Raheel Sharif. This was, clearly, a crucial meeting at a critical time. What was said during Mr Zarif’s visit? The Gulf countries deserve an answer.
The Pakistani parliament’s resolution was unwise, and certainly not in its interests, and hurts the brotherly bonds with the Gulf states. Shared ties have always been based on the sense of common values.
The sense of hurt is all the deeper when the close relationship with Islamabad goes back so many decades. The Saudis have long been large-hearted friends to Pakistan but this is not about payback. It is about doing the right thing at the right time and in the right way.
Perhaps Pakistan’s lawmakers will reconsider their position in line with the Saudis’ stoic and measured view that the parliamentary vote may not be the end of the matter.

Irani sunni population near to Pak and Afghanistan is in problem. Their brothers in the north are fine with Irani government. See what this Egyptian has to say about Iran.

Re: Arabs condemns Pakistan’s vote on Yemen

SO Pakistan not sending the troops to KSA, now those who were threatening to go themselves if the Army did not get involved in the conflict should make good their promises.
