Re: Arabic anyone?

:hmmm: thats mean

Urdu is cultural imperialism.

Urdu is as foreign to most of Pakistan as Persian, Arabic, Gujarati or English.

It is a language with roots in India. A language which was born on Pakistani soil would perhaps be a better choice.

We are proud of the Pakistani state but we are not proud of a language that has recently been forced on us and which our forefathers did not know of.

People who think they're being more Pakistani/modern/refined by speaking Urdu instead of their provincial tongue are just as bad as the Arab wannabes who like to wear long gowns..

Atleast Arabic is a religious language for Muslims and is acceptable as a second language, what the hell has Urdu got to do with a Pashtun Muslim or a Sindhi Muslim?

Why must we have only one national language? The Indians have 70+, the provincial lnaguages should also be given national language status.

Had e adab, don't you know arbi nay arbistan mein jo bhi kaha sahi kaha, we have to implement it in Pakistan now. lolz

Kiya to ghussa hai....

Do you believe in unity? I myself am Punjabi, but I do believe that one language across the board brings us closer to each other.
