We all know aqeeqah is done in the first week. This thread is not about the aqeeqah .. but the party, which can be thrown (or not thrown) when ever the couple wishes.

What wendydarling said - the aqeeqah has been done on the 7th day already. This is just the celebration as per the title of this thread.
