Apr-Jun 03: Australia in West Indies

Same Old story, Hayden gets out earlier on with the same shot, Langer and Ponting get togeather gets a partnership of 150 runs, Langer gets out on 85 runs. Ponting scored another ton but guess what he is not playing, but still Lehman, Gilchrist, Waugh are still there.

Aust. 190/5 in 56 overs. 34 overs remaining today. Not bad for WI.
Good Luck, West Indies... Go get aussies

196-6 Australia

Good job WI. A great start en route to stop the whitewash...

**Australia all out 240 **

a great performance by WI . Jermain Lawson 7-78. Only the fourth West indian in history to take seven wickets against aussies and first one inside carribean

Time to score some runs Lara :k:

4th Test Match - DAY 1

Jermaine Lawson of the West Indies, left, hugs Brian Lara, right, after Matthew Hayden was caught off the bowling.

Great performance by the Caribbean Boys, specially by Jermaine Lawson. What a spell he had. West Indies could have wrapped up Aussies under 200 runs if they hadn’t dropped 5 catches. Mis-fielding and dropping juicy catches has been a problem for West Indies throughout the Test Series.

Martin Love of Australia.

Martin Love replaced Ricky Pointing in the fourth Test. Though, he was looking pretty confident but just couldn’t stand Banks’ bowling, bowled out for 36.

[thumb=B]l815168JL.JPG[/thumb]

Justin Langer of Australia, right, bats off the bowling of Omari Banks of the West Indies as wicket keeper Ridley Jacobs, left, looks on on the first .

Justin Langer remained top scorer from the Aussies side, followed by Steve Waugh but they just couldn’t put enough score on the board. Gilchrist and Bichel scored in the 30’s while the rest of the Aussie players fell short. :stuck_out_tongue:

2nd ball of the West Indies inning, McGrath’s full length delivery and there goes stump of Chris Gayle. Whoah! After that, Bichel struck as Gilchrist took the catch behind the stumps of Darren Ganga. Bichel, you done it again. :slight_smile:

At Stumps, West Indies are 47/2, trailing by 193 runs with 8 wickets in hands. Smith and Drakes on the crease. I don’t understand what Lara was thinking when he decided to sent Drakes on the 4th spot. Duh!

i luv the dolphin sooo cute :slight_smile:

This Jermain Lawson guy looks good. Can we say another good pace bowler in the making from the Windies, if so than watch out the rest of the cricket world. Anyway very impressive :k:

Impressive stuff from Lawson :k: but poor captaincy by Lara. He should have attacked Steve Waugh with Lawson as soon as he came in.

Every now and then you will see a genuine fast bowler knock the Aussies out.

First it was Shane Bond, then came Makhaya Ntini, then came Shoaib Akhtar and now Jermaine Lawson.

Though I didn't see the innings but it must have been an amazing one, Windies have a good chance of winnig from this point though the match is still in Australia's control.

4th Test Match - DAY 2

[thumb=B]l815914bl.JPG[/thumb]

Brian Lara hits a six off the first ball bowled to him by Brett Lee.

Will please anyone help Lara out? He has been carrying the burden of the team throughout the Test Series alone. Diaster total diaster from West Indies batsmen. I wonder what happened to Chanderpaul and Sarwan? Nothing seems to be working out for them.

[thumb=B]l815464ds.JPG[/thumb]

*Devon Smith of the West Indies avoids a bouncer bowled by Brett Lee. Take that :~) *

There was a hot words exchange moment between Brain Lara and Steve Waugh. David Sherpherd cool them off.

Brett Lee makes a successfull appeal for LBW on Vasbert Drake.

Lee had a superb day with great bowling figures. Bichel and MacGrath did their best as Ausseis wrapped up West Indies on 240 runs.

Mattew Hayden and Justin Langer gave a sky-high start in the second inning of Australia. Just when the Cricket was about to become dull, Langer and Hayden started off their entertainment style as both got their half-century done. Hayden was lucky when Lara dropped the catch in the slip. Wo....feeling the pressure, Lara. :~) With Waugh, Bichel Gilchrist and Lehmann yet to come; I predict target 350-400+ runs on cards. :)

West Indies is in deeeep trouble. unless, they take some wickets...

I think they will set a Target likely around 430 - 450

So for me the WHITEWASH is written on the wall

a good fight back by West Indies late in fourth day restricted australia under 450 plus consuming some more time with good tight bowling.

Australia 417/all out
West Indies need 418 in two days, plus 23 overs today.
Good luck, West Indies. :k: :k:

I wil be surprised if windies could score even 300.

4/0 Australianwash coming up. Do you guys really think that WI can make that many runs against the Aussies.

WOW! Splendid job done by Hayden and Langer. Both guys got their century done. KEWL! And a very good come back by the West Indies bowlers. Except Steve Waugh, Caribbean Boys ripped apart Aussies middle-order batsmen. That was the key to got the Aussies all out, otherwise, Aussies’ total would have crossed 500 runs mark.

Its very tough but possible, If Gayle and Smith give their side a good start tommorrow morning, and Lara, ChanderPaul, and Sarwan score good knocks then there is chance but its just too much to ask for.

I think Windies will be able to save this one, I could be wrong but I have feelings the will be able to save this one.

Teaser bhai, how can they save this one, with two days to go, they will either win it or lose it with so much time left, unless the weather intervenes.
