I’d think so too but I’ve been to a couple of mehndis now where majority of people are decked out in everything and valima is more subdued. probably bc mehndi kicks off the wedding festivities while by the time the valima comes, everyone’s too tired to go crazy dressing up

I guess everyone differs but the ones I’ve been to are kind of a simple affair and then when the walima comes along, people are more decked out. Most girls opt for simple, minimal kaam mehndi outfits. I guess every family is different.
