APDM strike call for Nawaz Sharif gets muted response

Re: APDM strike call for Nawaz Sharif gets muted response

HZ the Saudi's have a very simple policy of not holding any diplomatic functions during ramzan. They do it before or afterwards. Thus the national day was held earlier.

I must say you lot have rather pathetic memories regarding our relations with Saudi Arabia. After all it was at NS's behest we got free oilf or 4 months after we detonated our nuclear weapons. They did it as a personal favour to him.

But under Musharraf's regime, the friendship has turned into simple serfdom. If you don't realise that, you can look at the different editorials in all Pakistani's news papers. The general view of the educated elite from, generals to the civil society is that now Musharraf is beholden to the Saudi's like a slave.

Re: APDM strike call for Nawaz Sharif gets muted response

So what these generals and civil society waiting for? Throw them out of Islamabad.

Re: APDM strike call for Nawaz Sharif gets muted response

Nah they won't. They will most likely wait for someone to assassinate the CE.

Re: APDM strike call for Nawaz Sharif gets muted response

You mean the Mush-BB-Fazlur Rehman deal. Maulana Fazlur Rehman is reputed to have left for Saudi Arabia to do Umra just after Nawaz was sent there. I am sure he is busy sucking upto the Saudi’s to assure them he is on their side, despite any public protestations.

**APDM ditched Nawaz Sharif, says Babar Awan **

Pakistan Peoples Party Senator Babar Awan has said APDM has ditched Mian Nawaz Sharif. In a chat in “Subah Se Geo” Babar Awan said the workers of APDM and Muslim League could have turn to streets on Nawaz Sharif’s return to home but he met his Waterloo. He said the saga of Nawaz Sharif’s return and sending back into exile again has weakened Nawaz Sharif and President Musharraf. Replying to a question, Awan said America can help the government with US dollars but the foreign powers could not made people to cast their votes in government’s favor. Muttahida Majalis-e-Amal (MMA) had helped in slapping ban over holding the prime minister’s office for third time to use the vote bank of Mian Nawaz Sharif for their agenda, he said. Keeping out to Nawaz Sharif has boosted Maulana Fazlur Rahman’s position as a strong candidate for the prime minister’s office, he observed.
