anyone who know more about christianity.

Hey, ale is a beverage. Does 'el or 'al mean the or the Deity? Your post is of some English collegiate or theologic dictionary. Can't make whole use of it. I aspire to the quality of British scholarship, but as an amateur from afar. You have some excellent source material at your disposal, Ibrahim.

As Christians we are taught that Jesus was the son of God, not just a prophet.

ok guys and gals last question ..
does bible mention anything about drinking bear is forbidden in christianity i heard they can drink vine or tsh like that and i see lots of movies where they showed the christians (always almost)wearing that head scarf (hijab in short )covering the hair do they have the same beleif written in bible to cover ur hair .and some thing about pork lol

http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/smilies/biggrin.gif

weather its forbidden or not.

Bible does not mention beer by name. Various Christian denominations have their own rules/viewpoints on what alcoholic food/beaverages/usages are acceptable or not. Drunkenness is defined as a sin in the Bible.

I do not know what “tsh” is, so can’t help you on that one.

The people you saw in the movies most probably are depicting monks who wear clothes according to the rules and regulations of their individual monasteries/fellowships.

As to pork, the Jews were binded to certain rules and regulations w.r.t. food as per the Law of Moses given by God Almighty. No such rules and regulations were put on the Gentiles (non-Jews) when they became Christians. In the first “council”/meeting by those that lived with Jesus Christ, the following was decided: * …we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God. Instead we should write to them, telling them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals and from blood. * It is interesting that those people who want to grab back to the injunctions on food given by God to the Jewish people, only desist from pork, while forgetting/ignoring all the other laws/rules.

It is a wise man who knows the limits of his knowledge, not an ignorant man....

Paul and Barnabas were appointed by the Christians in Antioch to get a ruling on circumcision from the apostles and elders in Jerusalem. Paul did not insist on any ruling pertaining to food - the meeting was chaired by James (brother of Jesus Christ) and made unanimous the ruling I stated. Paul with some other people were send by the council/meeting with a letter stating the ruling to all churches.

In later letters to some of the churches, Paul clarified the issue further.

The point of the issue is that everyone only talks about pigs, while it was only a tiny part of what were prohibited to Jews to eat. ANY flesh eating animal, bird, fish, and insect were made taboo. Any person wanting to follow the laws pertaining to pigs (as per the Torah), should also abstain from all the other foodstuff - which they don't.
