do u have a house key?
you probably have a hardwired button to open and close the garage.
if you have a house key..open the garage usingthe hardwired button, take your car out, go back in the house, close the garage using the same hardwired button, come out of the front door, lock the front door and go have ablast, come back when yer husband is home.
now if u dont have a house key the thing gets a little tricky but not undoable.
using the hardwired button, open the garage, take out the car, go back in the garage, press the button, run like hell dive over the sensors at the entrance to the garage.
or u can just stand outside and toss tennis balls at the garage door opener. that works also,

How could I have opened the garage door ...I didnt have the key to get into it...everything went ...swoosh on top of my head...Did I say my house keys were in the khabiyaon ka ghuchaa:)...The house was open but the garage wasnt...locked from the inside

is your garage not attached where you can go to it from inside the house?
if u have a garage opener remote then there is probably a button to open the garage as well in the garage.

No its detached, so the key that opens the house door , opens the garage too...and that I didnt have...second time it happened to me ...Somebody has suggested that to get a key box and put extra keys and they are magnetic and put them outside the car and outside the house.
The house one is like a rock shape. I dont know how safe that would be. But I think I need a plan of that sort.
actually its very simple, if u follow these steps you will never be locked out.
have a keypad installed for the garage.
and also for one of the doors into yourhome have the keypad locks, that can work with a key or a code.
but for today it appears you will just chill at home :)
It finally sank in...U were saying to jump over the sensor thing...Oh I have done that when sometimes because of some weird sunlight angle the garage door has refused to work..
The keypad lock...where can I find that ..local home depot I guess, and what do you mean a key pad installed for garage door, could you elaborate with maybe a lonk.Im going to look for it myself too.
