Well Furqan, this sounds more like depression than anxiety.
You know... (Im gonna go add this to the "Wuzu thread in religion column too) wuzu makes your mind soo peaceful. I mean whenever Im feeling stressed. I go to do wuzu... it works for me. I dont know what exactly your problem is but whenever you feel so down, just go perform wuzu. Washing the body parts in the sequence... especially the back of your neck... it makes you feel beautiful.
It could be depression combined with anxiety. And I can understand his predicament, I've been through it. Anxiety attacks are really ugly!!Plus they can be so unpredictable, it can strike you at any time of the day, you could be anywhere, doing anything, and suddenly there is this horrible feeling in the pit of your stomach. As if you will never be cheerful again.
I think you should try to take deep breaths and keep telling your self it's going to be alright. Try to look at something that might sooth you, for me usually Nature seems to help. Looking at the trees etc. really has a calming effect. It's not exactly professional advice, but well it seems to help with me.
