Firstly he was “caretaker minister”, secondly he also said that the family of Singh failed to provide sufficient evidence to prove case of mistaken identity. If Burney really wants to do anything then it should be challenge the verdict but he is actually filing for his “mercy”.

Bro you can only challenge a conviction if it is in court. But when the case goes to the President, like Sarabjit’s case, then you can only send mercy appeals.

According to Pakistani news, Sarabjit Singh was not even allowed to challenge his conviction in the Supreme Court because the jail authorities did not bother to send his case to the court.

Poor Sarabjit! now the clowns have got the students protesting Burney's petition ....Pakistan is thirsty for blood and that is that. Who cares if the guy is guilty of anything

^ Ok I don't mean all Pakistan. I read a news item that some students were taking out processions and calling Bureny an Indian agent. Now you tell me, shouldn't students be in the forefront of asking for judicial justice instead of behaving like a lynch mob crying for a hanging?

Look at it from Sarabjit's pov. A minister of Pakistan is openly saying that the case against him is weak. Yet, he is in the gallows!

Don't you think there could be people who think Sarabjit was a convict/terrorist? What is wrong if they believe so and are protesting against Burney's help for him?

Look at it from student's view, they believe he was a terrorist and this ex-minister is trying to help him hence they are calling him Indian agent.
