^ not to go too far off topic, but thats a misleading argument. People flocked to Karachi in the 90s too, when it was one of the most violent parts of Pakistan. People dont come to Karachi for the 'freedom', they come there for the economic oppurtunities.
Economic freedom is very much related to human freedom. Their are also many cases of rural Sindhis and others coming to Karachi for escape potential honour killing threats from their families.
