Lets see, just in 2014, Army has been called in for:

1. Relief efforts for FATA IDPs
2. Protection of the capital under artcile 245
3. Relief efforts in Punjab for flood victims
4. And now relief efforts for famine victims in Thar

And to top it all off, they have been involved in low-intensity war on two fronts (LoC and Zarb-e-Azb).

All I ask is for these elected politicians to walk a mile in their feet before badmouthing them.

Despite media reports and confirmations by different official committees of the Sindh government, the PPP-led provincial government was initially not ready to accept that so many people, majority of them children, have died in Tharparkar. After the pressure by the national media, the Sindh government admitted to these deaths but didn’t accept these people died due to starvation. Sindh chief minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah claimed that these children died not because of hunger but due to maternity-related complications.

Surprisingly, in an area where children were dying due to maternity complications, the provincial government started distributing wheat. After presiding the Sindh cabinet meeting in Mithi on Wednesday, Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah said that in the fourth phase of wheat distribution, the provincial government allocated Rs3.36 billion and so far his government had distributed 0.5 million bags of wheat in Tharparkar.

Last year they were busy wasting millions to launch the Clown Prince through the tawdry looking Sindh Festival which obviously failed to achieve anything. So this year they had to relaunch the bugger through another tawdry looking rally to prove a point of some sort.

Honestly, after the* last year's* (yes it was only last year!) tragedy, the utter humiliation and the never ending public outrage they had faced, there's absolutely no excuse for PPP for not doing anything to save these children from dying.

This party has reached the extreme depth of shamelessness and insensitivity, forget about saving humans, this party couldn't be bothered to do jack to save their own besmirched reputation.
