the source of these bombings must be quashed militarily. you'll find the leaders of these group are hardenned and can not be lead another way. the group itself should be finnished and a campaign to diferentaite islamic causes from the ideologies of these groups launched for the consumption of the wider pakistani public

I was watching Dr. Shahid Masood's show on Geo this saturday saturday concerning the bombings and one of the guest was barister Ruaid Khan (i would say close to 70). Old man blasted musharaf and his policies in his quivering voice and asked for his quick resignation. When asked by Dr. Shahed as to why should musharaf resign, who's gonna make him? Ruaid responded, the people of Pakistan, there is gonna be a revolution if he doesn't. And I said to myself that probably his statement is not that far-fetched. When an old man of 70 is expressing the same ideas, emotions and sentiments towards the ruler of the country as that of the generation 50 years younger than him, then possibly there is something looming on the horizon.
As long as this evil dictator continues to rule us, who's policies have taken the lives of thousands of Pakistanis and who has led us to anarchy- there wont be a single peaceful day.

Musharraf is a dictator, doesn't make him any worse then our "democratic" rulers, but he cannot be blamed for depraved jihadi terrorists and their love of suicide bombing. They will not stop from killing innocent Pakistanis until they are made rulers of the country.
Recognize the enemy before you get even more confused and turn into a terrorist yourself. The murderers are responsible for their own actions.

musharraf has his faults(end of his useful life, things getting too personal for him etc etc) but on this occasion re militants, war on terror, i dont think anyone could have done anything differently. the americans are breathing down the neck of pakistan, assured isolation of it and the wider middle east waits in the background. lets face it pakistan cannot go toe to toe with the US. i dont think fata or anyone else would have got as weak or lean a responce as musharraf has provided. what pakistan needs is results on the current issues to benefit itself and its relationships with the west.
to make a more informed decision about what pakistan needs to do is find out why the US is failling in afghanistan and help them *with publicity of the pak role of course. *
