No one is saying you shouldn't wear headscarf, but don't come in expecting the country to change its rules so that you can feel more pious. That won't happen. These medical students do not want to study the opposite gender's anatomy - do you find this excusable? Doctors in Pakistan who are male will see female patients. What do you do when you can't find the same gender doctor? You let your appendix rupture and you die from it?
And NOWHERE in Islam does it say that you can't study medicine in its entirety. I refuse to believe that you're doing something haraam when you study opposite gender anatomy and physiology, so that you can see patients of any gender, any age. So many muslim doctors in the world, and they don't raise this fuss.
