or your simplyy overloading ..a particular socket ..with all your gadgets ..
oh and if its sparkinngg then you need an electrician to check it out for ya cos .. it may be ‘shoring’ somewhere or the ‘Earth wire’ isnt connected to the earth 
..i mean mains ..
