at first, i'd be like okay maybe they'll calm down.
then i'll sort of avoid them
if they don't get the message...then i'd confront them. usually it doesn't reach that stage.

What about someone who get angry all the time on the simplest of things can ignite their fuse. Which makes it so annoying.
but you try civil talking and all that, no use. person is just like that...

^Avoid them. If that's not possible, maintain a distance. If you have to be around the individual more often than you'd like, then try your best to avoid those topics which you KNOW that the person is sensitive about. When in the same room with the person....keep yourself occupied with some activity.
When the person goes off on their crazy rant.....don't fuel it by hurling insults. Simply walk away from them or don't respond at all. You might even let the person know directly before hand that you will not answer to rude outbursts and that you prefer to deal with mature and civil communication. Walk away. It sends the message you won't put up with it.
