Girl... we can tell them what to do step by step, and they are still gonna either forget to sign the card, forget the candles, forget to buy a present, or forget to pick up the kids. LOL there is NO winning with them.

Ok question… why do women always make special plans for birthdays, anniversaries, etc. I hardly ever see men open up posts like this. The just run to the store last minute and get the first thing in site, and complain about how we never appreciate anything. We put so much thought and work into their special days, is asking for the same that bad?

not true, .. i plan for my darling.. well wife now.. but still darling… birthday, valentines, …etc..etc.. months in advance… i want to make her every year memorable then before…

You know what I was just about to say that not all men are like that. I know men that go all out with rose petals, chocolate strawberries, candles, massages, diamonds, and not just on special occasions. My friend’s husband got her a Coach purse for Christmas, a perfume set on her bday (which was two weeks before Christmas) burberry purse for valentines day, and a burberry scarff just becuase! Trust me it is not about how much money you spend or about material possesions. It’s about having someone go out of their way to do something nice and special for you. Having a gorgoues piece of jewelry and looking at it and knowing that your husband got it for you because he TRULY thinks you are worth MORE than bringing her chand and sitara. It’s a great feeling.

I understand you are not being sarcastic, but why would any women want to go out of her way to get a special present when 1. The couple has agreed on no presents 2. The husband is not as giving as the wife?

This routine and constant disappointment gets very old year after year. We want you to go out of your way to figure out what we want. I mean really go out of your way, ask our friends/mom/sister, go through our email (I constantly email myself pix and links of things I want, ETC. Watch us and listen to us when we go shopping (this should start about 2-3 months before the event). Sometimes we will give you a subtle hint, and sometimes it will be pretty obvious. Get off your lazy bottom go to the store, look at your options, see how you feel when you look at them and purchase something when you find something that you feel is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous enough to belong to us. That is the way we want to feel when we receive the present (DO NOT ORDER IT ONLINE, I DONT CARE HOW MUCH OF A DISCOUNT YOU GET USING BING CASH BACK OR IF YOU CAN FIND THE EXACT SAME THING CHEAPER ON AMAZON!!!) Go home and wrap it with your own two hands.

Yeah i’m sure you think this is too much to ask for… but this is exactly what we do in order to make your special days into the best memories of your life. We fit all of this into our HECTIC schedules along with cooking a huge 4 course meal, beautifying ourselves, while taking care of the house and kids. On top of that some of us have full time jobs.

But then, maybe I should look at the bright side. I have sometimes gotten gifts for no reason (which I don’t do). Actually, I have stopped giving gifts. Hmmm… Damn! I really need to start doing that again. We just end up doing little favours for each other, that too not so much.

We have become a married couple even before getting married!

Just wanted to give an update to everyone about our surprise picnic.. We ended up going near lake and he knew we were going to picnic but still was wonderful.. but what was really special was that he had a small box hid on the bottom of the basket that had a small promise ring so it was a surprise for me instead.. he got a box of candy only :).. When we got home I had a nice dozen red roses waiting on the side of my bed.. Massallah it was perfect!
