I don't know why everyone is acting so snobby and stuck-up to the OP, I know of one couple that met over the phone and they are happily married today. You never know who/what is in your destiny and what could lead you to them. So keep the snarky remarks to yourself if you have nothing helpful to say.
Anyway funky nails, I think the best way to go about this is to ask for his facebook. It sounds a lot more casual to ask for it then his phone number, etc but it'll do the job of opening up communication. Once you get his facebook, you can browse through all the information you need, like his pictures, age, education, family info and if there's anything shady about him (skanky girls posting on his wall, etc). If you like what you see, pursue it. If not, just unfriend, block and delete and you can move on and chalk it up to another life experience that you had :-).

Thank you giggles for the sound advice. I was thinking abt this aswell.. I cant do a search on fb, coz his name is too common..so asking for it wud be better.

Like everyone is saying i dont know anything abt him, which is true.. but the solution is to find out and i dont see how this is called a HUGE RISK. sorry to say but please get over uself..
