This world is a cage too. If you release them then will still be confined to this world , so I guess provide them the luxury of space exploration , if you feel such a humane bond with them.
A bird's life is limited to the space it has to itself. Do you see those birds in cage having a long face for being caged ? I guess not , hence it is the proof that they are happy where they are and let the owners of those pets be happy too , those birds in cages serve a good purpose too , they provide joy and company to their masters.
I don't think small animals like hamsters and frogs need much space. Good food and grooming can keep them happy. Although, I don't like birds caged up.

a bird in a cage will most likely outlive the bird in the wild
just like polar bears in zoos have outlived polar bears in the wild
Yep they are saved from predators and get good food ,which is becoming hard to find for them with so much urbanization.
^ And I thought that you are 'sher kee ek din kee zindagi, geedar kee so saal kee zindagi se behtar hay' kind of guy. I am surpised that you are supporter of caged animals vs free animals.
I am serious too. I am animal rights activist too , it does not mean that caging a bird is usurpation of its right to fly , it can fly in that cage all it wants.
exactly, its just like keeping your kids at home and locking the door rather than letting them run around on the road

God intended the birds to fly or he would've given them birth with a cage. Caging a bird is stripping her of her God's given right. To me that is cruel. You can all argue that you are caging the bird to secure her from the harms of real world, but that would just be your own logic.

By caging a bird you are saving it from :
Snakes
Lizards
Frogs
Salamanders
Spiders
Other Birds like Hawks and Falcons
Cats
Dogs
Ferrets
Foxes
Weasels
Monkeys
Apes
And on and on.

agree......
why the need to protect the bird?
likely we are caging them for our own pleasure.
if we do not interfere with nature there would be no need to protect any species.....
