Vision is nothing but reflection of light from the object. If that object doesn’t reflect light, we see it as dark object. Like black color. Since Black color cannot reflect light, it is seen as dark. For example, if you try to see something in a room, and if no objects replects light, you see it as dark room. Since white color reflects 100% light falling on it, white color has no color.

Coming back to your question, and based on above discussion, whenever light gets absorbed by that object, we see nothing but black color. Hence shadow is always black. It is made up of nothing but group of or array of absorbed light.

ms. even though i was expecting some Islamic perspective, but ok lemme accept your scientific perspective..
