Nothing bad is gonna happen for a few good reasons. US knows it can’t have a better servant than Pak Army in South Asia which is well trained, well equipped, dollars loving mercenaries which is willing to sacrifice poor soldiers from the countryside of Khaiber Pakhunkhwa and Punjab. Ayub Khan till Musharraf has done the same job in order to get ‘financial assistance’ and training from Americans. Raheel Sharif and Bajwa would have continued with the same ‘serving’ policies had a ‘better offer’ made in China not been on the table.

Americans can’t get India to do this service on the soil of Afghanistan because it’s not possible for India to fight another militancy in Afghanistan when it’s already using 700,000 troops in Kashmir. However, if Pakistan Army is smart and ‘ghairat mand’ enough, it has to pull Indian troops to Afghanistan so that one day we may take some 100,000 Indian soldiers as POW to settle the score of 1971 in East Pakistan.

Anyways, sooner or later Americans have to release Pakistan Army’s aid if they don’t want to forget about China and Asia. Pentagon has already said that the aid hasn’t been blocked permanently.

They must hire a benazir lover like you to tell them that India should have 100k troops in afghanistan. India is also that stupid to do it when they can always use proxies to forment trouble in Pakistan.

Well, this is my personal opinion as well that very soon US will realize that this “blackmailing” isnt working. They do need Pak for many many reasons.
And everyone knows it.

Even Afghani govt, who are the arch enemies, know they need Pak. If we divide Afghanistan in top 4 influencing factors, Pak controls atleast 1-2 of them.

So the aid will eventually be released and this cat-mouse game of putting on this list and that list may continue.

But Pak must know figure out ways to live without US and the best way is self-reliance and great relationship with majority of nations

I am thinking that drones / air strikes might happen as they don’t have to inform us that they are going to do it. US is already ticked that IMF loans will be supposedly used to pay off chinese debts when they have come out against CPEC. The lines are drawn in the sand.

Christine Fair heaped lavish praises on Lisa Curtis of Heritage foundation who is in a key role wrt Pakistan. She also like hussain haqqani so we know where her loyalties lie. They both have mentioned sanctioning key state entities and individuals in the Pakistan govt by travel bans and asset seizures.

I think that Michael Kugelman said it best in his recent opinion piece that US is in unchartered territory as Obama never went against Pakistan so formally in the open. It ultimately depends on our desi muzlooms back home. They either stand firm now or take it lying down by fighting the afghan war inside Pakistan like a rundi that hussain haqqani calls his former home.

If Pakistan refuses to serve America in Afghanistan, then who do you think will do this? Sri Lanka or Bhutan?

Since Pak Army and Indian Army both are fond of adventurism and child’s play, Pak Army could have been smarter by pulling Indians to Afghanistan the way Soviet Union pulled US to Vietnam and US did the same to Soviet Union by encouraging it to invade Afghanistan in 1979.

The motto is to “train” afghans from the back while the govt and rebels kill each other in the field. Mattis said in august that the conflict is simmering but not boiling so americans won’t come out on the streets. Taliban can’t take over afghanistan w/o artillery and air support from Pakistan or Iran and that might not be enough to deter the air power and combined arms assault capability of the US. It is like Vietnam where the Tet Offensive was a big humiliation for US publicly but the american military bombed its way out of a defeat. They even say that Viet Cong was severely decimated so much so that NVA themselves had to step up their game in south vietnam.

Do you believe that american hasn’t asked india to send bodies to afghanistan? India ain’t that stupid yet which is why I am thinking that the US / India honeymoon will go bust in the future. India likes to play all sides (friends with palestine / arabs and israel) while America will ask to “do more” against China.

It really is a matter of perspective, some people might say people who support terrorists who attack and murder Pakistani school children are the ugly ones. Why support, enable and give sanctuary to your own enemy terrorists? If the army supplied and equipped by the US takes action against certified terrorists that would be great news for the Pakistani people. How is H. Saeed allowed to run free and run for public office? I think they just released another terrorist cleric, when you confront someone much mightier than yourself and no matter how wrong you think they are, it is you who will suffer immensely.

They can be totally wrong and still cause unbelievable devastation and most all nations have resigned to that fact. They have been horribly unfair to Canada, Europe, China, Japan etc also. Afghans chose devastation for their principles and that is what they got. Always the dominant powers impose their will on weaker nations. Nations have to decide if they will cooperate or suffer huge pains. Iraq, Iran, Libya. In the end they killed Osama anyways so why did Afghans chose devastation over some thing that was bound to happen anyways.

They want rest of the world to believe that no one can do anything but surrender to their whims. Its part of psychological warfare. This phenomena is called, ‘learned helplessness’. Subjects afflicted by that won’t do anything even if they could. Those not afflicted, improvise and make good use of whatever they’ve got.

British would still be ruling the world, had it not been for those who stood by their principles. Afghans had no chance and they knew it. Yanks never let an easy prey escape just because it accepted certain demand. Afghans would’ve only fragmented themselves by compromising on principles and couldn’t have kept the spirits till now. It was the most unfair fight in the history of mankind. With the richest and the most powerful country to have ever existed against one of the poorest.
